On April 30, just before midnight, Mir woke up to her first contraction. We checked into the hospital at 5am. She started pushing at 2:14 p.m. and he burst onto the scene at 3:13 p.m., 59 minutes later.
Milo weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and measured 19 inches. He passed all of his early exams with flying colors — vitals and newborn reflexes. Today he has a few more — hearing screening and vision.
So far, Milo sleeps well and eats well. When he is not sleeping or eating, he is active and alert. He has soft dark eyes and a dimple on his left cheek.
We do not know who he looks like more, but he definitely took the best of both of us. He is perfect.
