Mimi and Boston

Grandma #2 has made it to New Hampshire to meet Milo!
IMG 05451 Mimi and Boston Melanie (who we decided will go by Mimi) came out last Friday to hang with the new family and help with our big move. She and Milo have become fast friends.
IMG 0562 Mimi and Boston After a hard day of packing and moving we walked down to Granite State for homemade ice cream. Dave and I can’t get enough of this place! I think the free “jimmies” (sprinkles for you western folk) are the kicker!
IMG 0564 Mimi and Boston We worked all day Monday and Tuesday…got about 80% of the house moved. The kitchen is always an adventure. I have no idea how I fit so much stuff in what has always been a pretty small kitchen space. All day Tuesday we motivated ourselves with a trip to Boston on Wednesday for a break. So, Wednesday we traveled the 60 miles down the I-93 to Bean Town.
IMG 0567 Mimi and Boston Milo’s first ride on the T. We kept his car seat covered to minimize the stale air…
IMG 0568 Mimi and Boston Chillin’ in the Public Garden. I’m learning how to nurse anywhere:)
IMG 0575 Mimi and Boston We know that one day Milo will appreciate that we helped him ride the duckling (from Make Way for Ducklings) at 3 weeks old.
IMG 0578 Mimi and Boston I was quite impressed by this obedient squirrel.
IMG 0581 Mimi and Boston We wandered Newberry Street, shopped a little, visited a couple old sites and then settled down for some fantastic Indian food to celebrate Dave’s Birthday (a little late) with his mom.
IMG 0582 Mimi and Boston Delicious.
IMG 0584 Mimi and Boston This little guy loved the adventure. He was so good! He ate, looked around for a while, then slept…ate, looked around and slept. I think this is only the beginning of a wonderful relationship between Milo and Boston.

We love Make Way For Ducklings! Do you have that book? I’m impressed you are getting so much done with this little guy (maybe mom told you how productive I was when Susanna was new). And I have to come try some of that ice cream.

Thanks for sharing this special time with Melanie (oops – Mimi), and putting her to work. She loved being with you all, and to see the beginning of the story of Milo.
