It’s getting cool in Virginia. Time for apples picking!! We don’t mind a little drizzle, it adds to the adventure:)
Here I am, picking an apple. Gotta love the beco carrier for hands free activities and outdoor adventures.
This orchard was a little ramshackle, and the trees quite unkempt. Artistic and unique, but different. I was worried because the apples didn’t look great, so I bit one. Delicious, delicious, crunchy, sweet, tangy, tart and delicious. Okay, pick on!
It looks like the cider was a little strong for the little guy;)
We also picked up a couple gourds, pumpkins and squash for fall cooking and decor. Crooked Run wasn’t quite Carter Hill (in NH) but it was super fun and a great kickoff to autumn for us. Tomorrow I’m going to bake my first apple pie! Wish me luck.

Hey guys! We miss you!! Here's a little thing I learned about Pick your own in VA: Maryland is just as far as the VA orchards and charge less for their produce. I wish I could have been there for Peach season. We left just as they were ripening. Enjoy yor apples!
