Uh oh…Dave and I are going to be back in the dating world!! Milo is once again a bottle drinker, and now he will even hold it himself!
Short timeline:
May 1-Milo is born
May 28ish-Milo gets his first bottle
Daily through June-About a bottle a day
July-I figure he’s got the bottle thing down and stop giving him one
September 4ish-I’m invited to a movie with friends and remember that I should make sure Milo will still take a bottle so I can leave him with Dave. No luck. He acts confused and gags and hates the bottle. No movie for mom!
September 5ish-7ish-I try daily to give him a bottle. Finally, we decide that he is not going to be a bottle baby and I just stop worrying about it. Six more months and he’ll not need one.
November 1st-We buy a sippy cup and begin solids and water. Milo is able to play with the cup and once in a while takes an actual sip.
November 15th-I lose the sippy cup and have to fish out the old bottle for water. Milo sucks on it like he does the sippy…and the wheels begin to turn:)
November 16th-We heat up an ounce of milk from the freezer and Dave feeds it to Milo-without a problem.
Today-Milo feeds himself a whole bedtime feeding from the bottle. Cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Love him.
I’m excited to be able to leave him with Dave and others for longer than an hour or two. There is nothing I love more than to play with him and hang out, but he’s old enough I think he will have a hard time liking other people if I don’t help him learn to socialize. So, anyone know a hot date spot in DC? 
p.s. no, I haven’t taken the tags off of my chair. What? It’s sort of fun to have a new piece of furniture in my house…it may be the only one!

Very nice! Isaac never ever took a bottle. I'm impressed with not only the bottle feeding (he really is SO cute doing it!) but with the specific memory of the timeline! Ahhh, to have your first kid again. By #2 you start to forget the details and are just grateful that you must have known what you were doing along the way, evidenced only by the fact that your kids are still truckin'.
