Candle lit table set for fourteen. Fire burning in the fireplace. Three chickens roasting in the oven, then carved by my expert chicken carver. Fingerling potatoes, carrots and onions roasted in drippings. Fresh salads with sweet fruit and Lion House rolls with honey butter and delicious desserts brought by good friends. Noggy Nog ladled around. Lively conversation with old friends. Young’ns running around. Classic Christmas Figgy Pudding with rum cream sauce. White Elephant trading. Good nights. Warm dish water. Good night sleep.
