Watch Out Tooth Fairy!

This little man has begun cutting gums!!
He won, and ended up playing on the floor with me instead of going down for a (late, my fault) afternoon snooze. While he was chewing on my fingers I felt something a little sharp. So, being the nurse mamma that I am, I grabbed a mag light from the first aid kit and did a thorough examination;)

Yay! His first tooth!! What? You say you don’t see anything?

IT’S RIGHT THERE SILLY!
Okay, so it’s not quite protruding…yet, but it has cut through! Still worthy of celebration;)

And we did celebrate. In honor of his first tooth Mr. Milo got to try some pieces of warm and spectacular apricot, coconut, pecan bread pudding (or apricanut for short.)
I found this recipe about two years ago and have been making variations* of it ever since. Delish.
*I always use a sweet egg bread like Challah or Panatone and basically sub out the raisins for anything…usually cranberries, walnuts and dark chocolate

mmmm – that dessert looks heavenly! I love how puffy it is!

Yea for the tooth! I think the Tooth Fairy should come when you get teeth, not lose them. I guess babies wouldn't appreciate it though as much as six year olds.

Yeah. It will make nursing so fun when you get your first bite. OUCH!

Luckily it only took a couple of times and Hobbes no longer bites, good thing too cause he has two bottom and two top and that would just hurt.

    Congrats for Milo.

Teeth are tough stuff. Way to hang in there, Milo. Christian produced four over the Thanksgiving holiday and week after and the tops ones still aren't finished working their way down so he's been pretty drooly.

Say, did you want to share that pudding recipe once you guys recover from the RSV bout?
