Happy Friday!
Well, I did way back when I was expecting Mister Milo, and I was floored. I decided I wanted to do something similar, document the growth of another baby in a more formal, consistent way. So, when I found out I was expecting Eliot (well, before I knew it was Eliot…), I asked a good friend Emily (who happens to also be a great photographer) to join forces with me to make it happen.
We decided to use a plain wall (in Emily’s dining room) as the backdrop. Then, the night before our first session I made myself a Project Baby Countdown Shirt (tedious exacto cutting for the freezer-paper stenciling!) Each session, I’ve been painting red lines through the weeks that are behind me. What a satisfying event!
So far it has been a blast. We’ve done shoots for 6, 12 (my sister filled in as photographer this session, as I was in Utah) and 18 weeks.
This Sunday, we’ll do 20 weeks…um, is it absolutely crazy that I’m already half-way?!
You can find the whole project up in the right sidebar, appropriately labeled: Project Baby. Each time we do a new session, I’ll post the photo here on the home page, but to see the whole series, you’ll always just click on the button!
Hope you will enjoy this as much as me (though I hardly expect that you could:)

How fun! I love seeing baby belly pictures!
And, oh my goodness. I watched the video you linked to and now I'm basically bawling my eyes out. That was amazing!
