It’s quite official, I have become addicted to letterpress.
In a weird way it reminds me both of rock climbing and of running. The former because, like climbing, it requires a lot of focus. I have a hard time worrying about anything when I am setting type, locking up the chase, trying to mix ink and aligning my designs. The latter because, like running, it seems to have a meditative effect on me, and I leave the studio feeling happy and even a bit high…(and no, not from the ink fumes:)
This is my latest creation. A fun hello to slip in the mail. Doesn’t it just make you smile?
