So, Jenn, from the cool, new-to-me blog A Jennuine Life, is hosting a contest.
Said contest involves entering a handmade item of clothing created for one of the three maternity stages: pregnant: the expansion stage, nursing: the quick-access stage , and postpartum: the muffin-top stage.
She asked if I might enter, and I would love to. The question is, which of the maternity clothes I’ve made this time around should be the lucky entry? Heaven knows I’m not going to be making something new this week…not with everything else happening around here:)
So, I thought I’d get some input. Which of the following is your favorite Makin’ Maternity project? You can vote (even for more than one) over on the side bar there—> —>
(Whichever it is, I’ll do a new photo to enter…with my impressive 34 week belly:)
Thanks ahead of time for your two-cents. The big contest begins on Mother’s Day, so the polling ends Sunday at noon.
(…and you just have to know that the fact that I have an awkward NINE, instead of a nice round TEN projects is almost enough to drive me to an all-nighter of maternity sewing… I’m going to try to resist:)

Okay, so these are ALL adorable! And I love your description of the stages BTW – can I steal those? I decided not to limit the number of entries sinc this is my first competition and I wasn't sure about the turnout – I'd rather deal with overload vs. slim pickins'! Go ahead and enter them all!

Use those descriptions, please. They are only as true-to-life as every mother knows:)
I'm excited to see which projects turn out to be favorites, and I'll at least re-photograph the winners.
Thanks for hosting such an appropriate-to-my-life contest!
xo
Oh, and I think 9 is a very appropriate number of entries – 9 months and all… That's why I'm having 9 finalists!
awesome! #'s 2,3,and 9. i'm sooooo excited! i want you to win so bad! you're not only a great seamstress but a great mother and friend!
1,2,3 or 8. As a sewer myself, these look the most professional or "fanciest". Shirts rarely win sewing contests. Good luck!
2, 3, 5, and 8. Also, I would love to have any of these for my pregnancies. I loved the military top! I just know if I had that I would wear it every single day!
Love them all, but I voted for 1, 4 & 5. You are seriously talented!!! Love your blog!
I love them all…..but 2, 4, and 9 are my fav….
