I’m still ho-humming. My first set of Twin Onesies are in the mail, so I got to work on the other set that I had in mind…
Two wild and wonderful boys at once call for two wild and wonderful onesies:
Hey, where’s that dinosaur headed?
Oh, look! He’s coming back again!
That’s not one dino, but two! Put them together and you’ve get the whole picture. Perfect for newborn brothers.
I created a simple dino pattern on paper, cut two identical seersucker stripe blocks, ironed pellon onto the back of the fabric, stacked the stripes so they lined up, traced and cut out the dinos, ironed them onto the onesies, then zig zagged away!
And, they’re even cute from the back!
I have been very ungraceful this last week, complaining often and feeling like Eliot is never going to come…even though he’s not due for four days. Sending off baby gifts to little boys who are born, but still not home in their mother’s arms humbles me and gives me some perspective. When Eliot does decide to show up, he should be developed enough to join me home from the hospital and I’ll get his constant companionship right away. I am so so excited and grateful for that!
All my love to Alex and Chelsea as they troop to and from the NICU to see their babes…you are super-moms.
