Last night I finally finished letterpress printing Eliot’s birth announcements. I still have to score, fold, trim, stuff and send them, but the hardest part is finished.
Along with the card, we’ll be including a newborn photo to show off his adorableness. We have so many amazing images to choose from thanks to my dear friend Cassi (of Sassa Art Photography). She is a total genius behind the lens. She came to visit and shoot these images just days after Eliot was born, and they are incredible. Can you believe I haven’t shared them, yet? I got a little carried away with life!
Well, I’ll make up for it. Here you go:
Wow, right? And I could have shared 25 more that I love just as much. I am fascinated by the way she used natural light in the comfort of my home and created such a peaceful space with Eliot. If you’re lucky enough to live in the Bay Area, and are looking for a photographer, I can’t recommend Sassa Art more highly.
I am so happy that Cassi made the trip (with her 3 month old, leaving a 2.5 year old with grandma!) On top of being the beautiful photographer that she is, she was the most spectacular friend and helper in my two-days-postpartum experience. She brought gifts for everyone, played with Milo so I could rest, and was available for those good, friend-I’ve-known-since-we-were-twelve conversations whenever I felt up to gabbing. After all of the difficulty surrounding the final days of my pregnancy, Cassi was a breath of fresh air. Thank you again doll. You know I love you.

Simply precious. Cassi is fabulous. Truly a great friend.
Those are wonderful pictures! I particularly love the ones where he is resting his little head in his arms, and of course Milo getting ready to plant a kiss on his head. How fun to have such wonderful images of that little one when he was so fresh.
Those are so cute! I love the 3rd one down with the little wrinkles on his forehead. The newborn days end so quickly its nice to have them captured so beautifully!
heaven on earth is motherhood. love them.
These pictures melt my heart. They make me so impatient to hold another new babe which won't happen for another 6 months!
