Food For Friday: the chalkboard wall

Today I wanted to show you how I put our weekly meal plan into writing. About six-months ago I painted one short wall in our dining room with chalkboard paint. It quickly became the weekly meal board, and has kept me organized ever since! I also write my meal plan down in my calendar, and create my shopping list on my phone, but it is incredibly convenient and helpful to be able to simply take a quick look at the wall to remember what have planned for the night, and if I need to get something ready ahead of time.
Chalkboard paint is super durable and easy to use. I love wiping the board clean with a wet washcloth, then writing the new menu up while the board is still wet. The chalk words turn out so bright and crisp. The wall is painted all the way to the floor, and the bottom three-feet are Milo’s zone, where he gets to color to his hearts content. Simple, inexpensive, and effective. I think everyone needs a chalkboard menu wall.
Have a happy weekend!
