Vintage Patchwork Quilt

Today I’m sharing the sweet story behind my vintage patchwork quilt over at Mama Says Sew for the Just Sew Series. It’s one of my very favorite projects to date (I feel like I say that a lot…) and I loved talking a little more about it. Head over to read about where these rad vintage fabrics came from, and to see all the other awesome projects that have been completed for Just Sew.

This is beautiful! What a nice gift! My husband’s grandmother was a quilter, and before she died, she gave some unquilted, but pieced, quilt tops to my mother. Years later, my mom and an older lady from my childhood church quilted it and gave it to us as a wedding gift. It’s definitely the loveliest gift I’ve ever received. We treasure that quilt so much!

When Machine Quilting, make sure you stop with the needle down in the quilt before shifting the quilt for further stitching so you can keep your stitches even
